I couldn’t find an ensemble-murder-mystery-comedy for the 1950s, so I dropped the “murder” portion.  Or did I? Part of the “trouble” with this Harry guy is figuring out whether he was murdered and if not what did happen to him.

Possibly Hitchcock’s most lighthearted movie, but anyone who’s seen a lot of his other films or any of his TV show Alfred Hitchcock Presents knows “The Master Of Suspense”’s skill with black comedy.

A great cast including Shirley MacLaine and Edmund Gwenn helps make this film entertaining.

Bottom Line: Fun times.

Up Next: Jumping ahead.
