Terrific plot! A writer (played by George M. Cohan, whose play the film is adapting), bets he can write a bestseller within 24 hours, but at the remote house where he is supposed to write alone suddenly has a lot more people letting themselves in. Someone gets killed, there’s $200,000 there, and hijinks result.
Unfortunately, the movie bored me enough that I stopped watching after about 20 minutes. I didn’t even remember the plot until I just looked it up just now.
Oh well. There’s probably a reason I’d never heard of it until I decided to write this series.
Bottom Line: Missed opportunity.
Up Next: Still on the silents.
