In the midst of many movies being sent straight to streaming after the pandemic caused the cancellation of their theatrical releases, here we have a film always meant for streaming, as it comes to us via Netflix.

I don’t have that much to add that’s not in my video review, but I’ll reiterate what I said: it was nice seeing the duo behind the Avengers movies, Joe and Anthony Russo, reunited with one of the main stars from there, Chris Hemsworth, for a nice, free (if you subscribe to Netflix) way to spend a couple of hours. Wonderfully choreographed fights, along with the charisma of Hemsworth and the Indian preteen playing the kid the main character is trying to save, largely carry the film.

Yet even more awesome is the location shooting in India, complete with local actors and plenty of music from the culture. Admittedly, I say that as a person whose parents are Indian immigrants and who had an incredible trip there with his best friend two years ago. Still, there are plenty of non-Indians fascinated by the culture, including that white friend of mine!

It’s been rumored the ending is trying to set up a sequel. Let it go – the movie’s not even close to THAT interesting.  It’s a nice low-key way to spend one night when you’re stuck home during quarantine, however.

Bottom line: Fun and somewhat unique.

Up Next: Staying in India.
